How it Works
Step 1: Confirm the details

Identify the county you need service in and the corresponding service fee for the particular document or service you'll be requesting. All service fees are located within this website and there are never any hidden fees.

Step 2: Send the documents

For service of process, the documents can be faxed* to 866-630-9147, emailed* to sparreprocessserving
@gmail.com
or mailed to one of our offices. You can schedule a time to have the documents picked up from your office or the courthouse for an additional fee.

Step 3: Arrange payment

We accept cash, check and all major credit cards. Please be advised, payment is required upfront. We are unable to start working on your request until payment is made in full. Larger documents incur a printing charge or 20 cents per page after the first 20 pages

Note for Serving serving a Texas filed document.

Duties of a process server. (Rules 16, 105, 501.3). a. A process server has two distinct and equally important duties: (1) to promptly and properly deliver the proper papers to the proper person; and (2) to promptly and properly complete and file with the court a return of service. The return of service, often referred to simply as the "return," is the written document used to prove that proper service has been made. A written return must be filed promptly with the court. Specific information must be stated on the return. A process server who has perfectly delivered a process has completed only half the job. The process server is required to file the return of service on all Texas cases.

FAQ for Process Serving

Can a person refuse to take papers when they are served?

Refusing to accept papers from a process server does not prevent the legal process from moving forward. Here’s what typically happens if you refuse to accept the papers:
1. Service Attempts: Multiple Attempts: The process server is usually required to make several attempts to serve the papers. If you refuse to accept them, the server may document this refusal and attempt to serve the papers again at different times or locations.
2. Alternative Service Methods: - Substitute Service: If personal service is unsuccessful, the server may leave the documents with another responsible adult at your home or workplace. Service by Mail: In some jurisdictions, if personal service is not possible, the court may allow service by mailing the documents to your last known address. Posting or Publication: In certain cases, if other methods fail, the court may permit service by posting the documents in a public place or publishing a notice in a local newspaper.
3. Proof of Service: - Affidavit of Service: The process server will complete an affidavit or proof of service, detailing the attempts made and the method of service. This document is submitted to the court to demonstrate that proper service procedures were followed.
4. Legal Consequences: - Proceeding with the Case: The legal action will proceed regardless of your refusal to accept the papers. The court will consider the proof of service and may continue with the case. Default Judgment: If you do not respond to the papers or appear in court, a default judgment may be entered against you, which could result in legal and financial penalties. Warrants or Additional Actions: In some cases, continued refusal or failure to respond might lead to additional legal actions, such as warrants for your arrest or other enforcement measures.
